Ski-in/ski-out on Aspen Mountain, explained

By Dunn Estates Aspen Editorial · Updated October 28, 2026 · Verified against City of Aspen STR permit #071056 and live availability

The short answerDurant 6D has an access trail ten steps from the back door that connects to Aspen Mountain; it is advanced terrain and depends on snow cover. Most days you will walk about 5 minutes to the Silver Queen Gondola to go up, and ski the trail home at the end of the day when conditions allow. Gondola Plaza is the easy meeting point for couples of different abilities.
