# Getting to Aspen

> Every way to reach Aspen (ASE, EGE, DEN, GJT, Independence Pass, I-70 and Glenwood Canyon) and how to get from the airport to Durant 6D.

**Short answer:** Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is about 10 minutes from town, except during its planned runway work. Eagle (EGE) is about 1.5 hours away, Grand Junction (GJT) about 2.5 and Denver (DEN) about 3.5–4. Independence Pass (Hwy 82 east) is closed in winter.

## Once you arrive

Durant 6D is on the south side of downtown, on Galena Street near Aspen Mountain. Parking details come with your arrival instructions. Parking at the complex is limited, and you won't need a car in town.

## Questions

**Is Independence Pass open in winter?**
No. Highway 82 over Independence Pass closes seasonally, typically from November to late May.
